was not fed until the twelfth or four
teenth day. As Ihe chicks grew, a
mash composed of shorts, corn meal,
stale bread and n small
quantity of
prepnred meal was mixed w ith boiling
skim milk, allowed to cool, and was
given three or four times per day. Milk
and water were both furnished for
drink.
