His stern, rigorous physical build and his unyielding devotion to books has rendered invaluable service to broaden his mind and open to his abundant resources a Held of usefulness. Tho Professor had the laudable courage to attack tho most despicable forms of vice that now poison uud confront the children of every community. He took a bold stand for purity and denounced vice of every typo. The speaker did not mako any attempt at flights of oratory, but tried to reach the lieurts of bis bearers by appealing to them to assist iu eradicating vice and immorality from tbe minds and, hearts of children and placing there instead the symbols of purity and virtue. These are the "Guardians of the Home." The institute adjourned by ren dering a most fascinating selection from their rich store of elegant se lections. WEDNESDAY MORNIXO.
