The Pennsylvania fish commission ers, if reports are true, are showing good sense in a recent order to stock streams with black bass. Instead of turning lose a few millions of fry to die, they have made a contract with Canadian parties to furnish bass seven inches long. The fish, if put in a stream, will amount to some thing. Haus ilied at his re sidence in Sunbury ou Tuesday of last week, a complication of a disease of tho kidneys and dropsy. Mr. Haus was well known in this county and his death will bo learned of with regret by many friends. Mr. Haus was a native of Mifllinburg ; during the war ho served gallantly in the defense of the Union ; back in the seventies ho was manager of the Middleburgh Post, then owned by Jeremiah ('rouse: for a number of years he was mail agent on the Sunbury & Lewistowu Railroad. Wherefore, by virtue of same Act, June 6, 1893, the Court appointed Alfred Hayes, Esq., in spector, to take testimony in regard to the same.
