Mr. A.L.Spang ler Principal of the Cuntroville Gram mar School, 1ms closed his school with a grand entertainment, entiled, "The Lily of tho Valhy." Tho room had been beiitifully dec orated, and an ample stage in a the -atrlcal manner had been erected, to suit the occasion. Tho exercises for the entertainment were of such a manner that was Instructive, humor ous and highly enjoyable. Mr. Wine garduer the boss scholar, recited sev eral recitations which brought the house down every time. He is now styled the "humorous orator." In fact every part was performed in the moxt skillful manner, the exenrcises lasted fully three hours. The parents run feel proud of their children, who were instructed by the able and com petent teacher, whose instruction are cf the inufct pructlci.l character.
