Wo have heard of only one thiug that is menu er and that Is the reported poisoning of trout in Swift ruu. Why people should be so heartless as to indulge in a wholesulo instruction of fish and their ttpuwn for a few pound of moat is a matter which we cannot under stand. There certainly Is no sport in it and if the parties are found out and reported to the State Fish Com misbiouars, as they should be, they will have un opportunity to view the green fluids and laughing waters of Middleuroek Valley through the Iron bars of tho Snyder County Jail. On Monday lust, Hiram P. App af fected a loan of $7, M0 from John K Kaffmnu of Northumberland county, and liquidated his indebtedness con tractod by bailing Albert Arbogast. Only $1,500 of tho above sum was the personal debt of Mr. App. Hew and why as good a business man as Mr. App should involve himself by bailiug and endorsing Arbogast, who was a reckless agent without real or person al estate and at one time had almost wrecked his father is, to us, an enigma. Arbogast has skipped for parts unknown, and it remains for Mr. App to pay, grin and bear with his hard luck. It is a severe lesion and our people in a measure sympathize with him. However, no ono is too old to learn. Mr. Ipp is abundantly able to meet such o. loss but in that there isn't much consolation, either. From the Lewistown Dcm.
