Howard Mellott's ice house was burned last week. It caugbt fire from sparks from a passing engine. R. J. Layton, S. B. Winter, Harry Gray, and Mapel Winter were business visitors at Way nesboro last Thursday. Decorate Your Domes. The Committee on Decoration for the Red Cross Carnival to be held on the Fourth of July would urge all our citizens, especially those living on Lincoln Way, to decorate their homes with flags, bunting, or the Red Cross flags and posters of all description bearing on the war. Let us make our town as at tractive as possible. This committee expects to htfve all kinds of novelties on sale; such as caps, parasols, whistles, red cross fans, etc., which will be sold at a reasonable rate. There were present Will of Hopewell and Roy of Minersville and their families, and Mrs. Howard War sing of Kearney. G. E Truax is in a critical con dition at this time. Mrs. J. W. Miss Bess Willett one of Akron, Ohio's primary teachers is spending her vacation at her home in the valley. Mrs. Dan Shafer is the guest of her brother and sister in Altoona. Mrs. Rebecca Orth and daugh ter Mrs. Fraker of Ft Littleton and son Bert of Iowa spent a short time with her daughter Mrs. Earley. The annual Children's Day ser vices at the Reformed church will be held next Sunday morn' ing at 10 o'clock. The program will be of a patriotic nature and promises to be very interesting. There will be recitations, exer cises, and special musical num bers. The Sunday school and congregation of the Presbyterian church will join in this service. The C. E. meeting at 6:30 o'clock and the church service will be held in the Presbyterian church. At 2:30 o'clock next Sunday afternoon, Rev.
