In perfect health we hardly realize that we have a network of nerves, bat when health la ebbing, when strength is declln. ing, the same nvrvoua system gives the alarm in headnches, tiredness, dreamful sleep, irritability and unless corrected, leads straight to a breakdown. To correct nervousness, Scott's Emul sion is exactly what you should take; its rich nutriment gets into the blood and rich blood feeds the tiny nerve-cells while the whole system responds to its refresh ing toulc force. A. L Wible, auctioneer. The Blue Cross. All know what the Red Cross is but how many know that there is a Blue Cross Society? It is a French institution for the care and treatment of war dogs and horses dogs receiving ' special attention because if a horse can be saved, it generally comes in for what aid may bo at hand. Bat the faithful dogs whose duty and pleasure it is to locate wound ed soldiers do not fare so easily, hence the society. There is an American branch at 55 east Ninety-third street, New York City. Few Americans know the ex tent of usefulness of dogs to many European people. Economy is the keystone of all activities in those places, and the dog is trained to serve to a degree little thought of here. He draws cans to market, guards sheep in a man ner that would not be believed ty the unsophisticated and accom panies the police for many pur poses, especially to rescue drowi -ing persons and suicides along river fronts. But it is in battle that the dog is of untold value in a struggle that covers hundreds cf square miles. He is taught to locate wounded soldiers that would otherwise never be found, and in this manner a dog has been known to snvc the 1:v?r of twenty men in one day. Is it any wonder that kind hearted men and women give of their means to ease the miseries of an animal so faithful? Family Reunion.
