They had some fine pound apples, and they were "pound" apples for they easily weighed sixteen ounces Mr. Deshong had several apples with him that were second-crop apples this season. The first crop matured about harvest, and the second crop set and grew to considerable size, when their growth was arrested by the cold weather. Mrs. Deshong has been in poor health for some time, and part of her errand to town was to consult one of our local physicians. 'Sale Register.
