Mrs. Lizzie Morgret purchased a fine organ for the use of her son Earl, at Mrs. Wm. Diehl's sale. The Wood Cutting Saturday at Levi Winters's last Saturday was well attended. The men pres ent cheerfully cut him a fine pile of winter wood, which he was much in need of, because of his age and inability to help himself. The cooks, Amanda Mellott, Liz zie Morgret, and Emma Winter, deserve much praise for the ex cellent dinner they prepared which was much relished by those who partook of it. It was evident that all were hungry from the way they went after the good things to eat, that were placed before them. The cooks also filled the important office of waiters. As such, they waited very patiently till the men were tilled, in order to get a chance at ihe second table which they were unable to fill; but they, however, were undouotedly filled by it Those present were Andy Mel lott, John Martin, Jacob Mjller, D. S. Garland, S. N. Garland, Logue Plessinger, Walter Bark man, Orville Leader, Jesse Mor gret, Cary Carlson, Earl Mor Sret, and Stewart Miller. AXERSVILLE. WEST DUBLIN. Last Thursday, a party con sisting of Harvey Clevenger, Owen Lai dig, Chester, Edwin and Dallas Brant, killed a deer in the hooppole thicket on Kmgs Knob which dressed 165 pounds. Oa Friday, Edwin Brant while alone on Sideling Hill, saw some animal approaching him.' Hav ing read that some wild animals are dangerous, and rot wishing to take any chances, Edwin blaz ed away with his 42 centimeter (?) gun. When the smoke clear ed away he found he had killed a fine deer which, when weighed, tipped the beam at 135 pounds. David Hershey bad the misfor tune while off-bearing at William Deavor'a saw mill, one day last week to slip and strike his back against a slab which injured him quite painfully so that be scarce ly is able to get about George King and Ira Lake hae gone to work at Kearney where Joseph E Thropp bat opened a new mine.
