County Treasurer Charlie Ste vens started out Tuesday on his tour of the County collecting taxes. He is being assisted by L L Cunningham of New Gre nada. Miss Bessie Motter, of Cham bersburg, spent the time from Saturday until Monday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Motter, of Ayr town ship. John Motter, who had been spending several weeks at the home of his parents in Avr town ship, left for Greensburg last Friday, where he has secured . employment. ' Miss Emma R. Sloan, who has been teaching in Johnstown dur ing the past school year, return ed to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sloan in this place last Monday. Mrs. S. L Bowen, of Wayne, W. MAR0 VRE1 FOSTER Died at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Farber at South Fork, Pi,, on the 22nd of May. Mrs. Margaret Foster, widow of the late William Foster, dlod at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W Farber at South Fork, Pa , on Friday the 22nd ult., aged 8tl years, 8 months, and 6 days. Funeral on the Sunday following, at Duvall's Cemetery, near Six Mile Hud. Mrs. Foster had made every ar rangement to start on a visit to the home of her son I ,mn and other frtonds in Vells Valley, but death came in '.lie meantime: and instead of visiting her fi lends, her corpse was shipped one day ahead of time of her expect ed visit. Two sons and two daughters survive. J. Calvin, of Wells Valley; Lum, near Six Mile Run; Mrs. Farber and Myra at South Fork. Sho and her husband were among the old set tlers of Hroadtop Mountain. Clippln rer of Wells Valley, pushed a large lima bean up his nose ona day last week, he was at once rushed to Dr. Camp bell's office who in few minutes remov ed it, thereby saving the child's life.
