Dear Editor : For trie benefit of the voters of Fulton County who do not have the honor of a persona! acquaintance with Dr. A. K. Da vis, candidate for legislature on the Democratic ticket, we wish to give them a few facts in regard to his qualifications for this office and incidentally mention a few facts about his "home life." With all due respect to the other can didates, and to the intelligence of the voters of Fulton County (which we think are above the average) we mention these 'facts that the voters who are not per sonally acquainted with the Doc tor, may vote more intelligently and with the assurance that an X marked opposite his name on April 11th is a mark well placed. Dr. Davis has been a willing and active worker for the cause of Democracy for 38 years and during that time has never asked the voters of bis county for any public office, wit1', the single ex ception of Coroner, and this he did not seek. He is always found in the front ranks working for the nominee, regardless of whom he may have worked for prior to the nomination. His stable full of h rses is always at thedisposal of the voters of the community free of cbarge on . all electi n dayp. Not only is he a good public speaker and somewhat of an ora- terests as candidate for associate I tor, but he has that faculty of be juige. DeWitt's Kidney and Blad der IMls are prompt and thor point. Captain Skinner, who under went an operation in the Cham bersburg Uospital last week, is improving nicely, but is likely to be onfined in that institution for- several weeks. The Democratic voters are re ((uestcd to remember that on the 11th of April they will have an opportunity to vote for Mr. S. N. Garland of Brush Creek town ship for the nomination for coun ty commissioner. Mr. Garland, it will be remembered, was a candidate for the same position three years ago. 2t. Mrs. V. K. Geatlemen In 1897 I had a dis ease of the stomach and bowels. I could not digest anything I ate and in the spring ct 1902 1 bought a bottle of Kodol and the benefit I received from that bottle all the gold in Georgia could not buy. I still use a little occasionally, as I find it a hne blood purifier tnd a good tonic. May you live loi.g and prosper. Yours very truly, C N. Cornell, Rodiog, Ga , Aug. 27, 1906." If a man drops a piece of meat, n matter how clean the floor may be, he will either give it a kick or pick t up and lay it to one side. He will never eat it. But let him drop his plug of tobacco on the ground and no difference how dirty the spot where it fell, he will pick it up and give it a care less swipe on his coat sleeve or on the bosom of his pants and then take a 'chew with great er relish than ever. risburg. If nominated and elect ed, we can safely say that ho will not be a representative of the few but a representative of the majority of the voters of Fulton County. Now Mr. Voter, in view of the above facts, do you not think that he should be rewarded in his declining years for his un tiring efforts m the cause of de mocracy, by giving him this nomination and electionV Per sonally, we think this county owes the Doctor this nomination and election. Literally speaking, Dr. Davis is a true representative of the word democracy. He is always the happy congenial, sunny dis positioned "Doc" to every body, at all times and at all places. He is regarded as being almost in dispensable to any public social affair held in the community, be ing a good entertainer and always willing to serve in any capacity H ordei to make the affair a success. He is known by the people in the community as be ing one of the most liberal of con tnbu tors to any good cause and we can say without fear of con tradiction, that more young men in the north end of Fulton Coun owe their success in life through the aid and assistance, financial ly and otherwise, of Dr. Davis than any one individual in the community wherein he lives. In conclusion wo wish to say that Dr. Davis is not a party to this communication nor does he know of its origin. The writers are personal friends of his, some of whom are not residents of the county at this writing, but know ing the candidate so well, could not help saying a good word in his behalf.
