The subjects were well handled by the teachers, which peaks well of their ability to meet the requirements of the schoolroom. The pupils and teacher deserve much praise for the elegant reci tations. At the close of the institute, Dr. Davis spoke on the subject of "Education," pointing out to teachers and parents the great responsibilities whieh rest upon them, asd stating many plain facts.
