Mrs. Joe Bridenstiue had the misfortune to have the seat to fall out of the wagon last Sunday, by which she sustained a very Dainful fall. The people of Valley Church met Saturday to clean the church; after the painters. Messrs. Stev ens, Thompson and Kelly, had completed their job of painting, which had added greatly to its appearance. Glover Horton and his mother attended preaching at the Pres byterian church at Wells Tannery last Sunday evening. Mr. Chas. Shope, wile and sis ter are visiting Joseph TV u ax and family. Oliver Mock and uncle are vis iting W. R. Keith and family. They say they are hunting deer, but they did not say whether it is d e a r or d e e r. The prayer meeting at the U. B. church was well attended. Miss Bessie Willet, accompan ied by Mr. B. M. Stewart, pass ed through this place Sunday ev- ening enroute for her school. Mr. Arthur Cunningham and lady friend were driving through our village Sunday- Mr. J. C Foster and wife are visiting friends and his wife's mother, Mrs. Miller, who met with a serious accident oue day last week at Marklesburg. He Could Hardly Oct Up. P. H.
