at the earliest possible moment.
Jane Harris of Wells Valley,
aged 70, on the 2nd of Mny, John
Armstrong of Mercersburg, aged

burg, on the 7th have already
been mentioned in this jajer, aud

mer resident of Bedford and a
graduate of the Bedford High

through the head with a revolver
Sunday afternoon the loth inst.
Bruce Kennedy, aged 2w, a
brother of our townsman William
Kennedy, hanged himself in the
attic of his sister's home in (!reen
castle, last Friday evening. Mr.
Kennedy had been in poor health
and had just returned fom a
Philadelphia hospital a few hours
before.
The sixth is that of ex-County
Superintendent Frank II. Slyder
of Franklin coumy. Mr. Slyder
was about 50 years of age, was
county superintendent in Frank
lin county from 7 to 'iliJ, taught
school last winter, and conducted
the teachers' examination for
permanent certificates at Cham
bersburg, a few days ago.
Ho hanged himself in the attic
of his home last Monday morn
