We had services in the M. E. church on Sunday the first since it has been remodeled. Jacob Carmack came home to spend a few days with his friends here. Jesse Briggs, Howard Naugle, Iloy Curfman, JohnNau gle, and William Cline joined the American Telephone Company Monday and expect to go to Isew Jersey. Mrs. Hannah Tod hunter of Fort Littleton, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Finley near this place. Bruce Kennedy, aged 2w, a brother of our townsman William Kennedy, hanged himself in the attic of his sister's home in (!reen castle, last Friday evening. Mr. Kennedy had been in poor health and had just returned fom a Philadelphia hospital a few hours before. The sixth is that of ex-County Superintendent Frank II. Slyder of Franklin coumy. Mr. Slyder was about 50 years of age, was county superintendent in Frank lin county from 7 to 'iliJ, taught school last winter, and conducted the teachers' examination for permanent certificates at Cham bersburg, a few days ago. Ho hanged himself in the attic of his home last Monday morn ing. A Revelation.
