Hunter of Lewis town, was called to see Mrs. Har vey Wishart, who has been ill for sometime. At this writing she is much improved in health. A little daughter came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Biv ens. Harry Spangler a native of this place but now of Pittsburg, is suffering from a severe attack of quinsy and grippe. John Gibson is kept indoors with rheumatism. Misses Margaret Golden and Jessie Mellott, gave a complete surprise last Wednesday evening to Mrs. A. S. Greenland and Mrs. Kirk. There were about twenty- five of their friends present, and a very pleasant evening was spent. Sixteen of our industrious la dies assembled to make a quilt for Mrs. Harrv Edwards, who so recently lost all she had in the fire at their home at Enid. After the patches were all complete, they met in the home of Mrs. A. F. Baker and quilted it all ready for use. Mack Stunkard and James Truax left Monday morniug for South Fork.
