The Second Quarterly Meeting of the McConnellsburg charge will be held at Knobsville Sunday July 27. Dr. E. H. The b'amo rests on some of Uncle Samuel's people. Mr. Charles Barton a widely . known hotel keeper died at Han cock, Md., last Saturday aged about 83 years. Mr. Barton was proprietor of the Barton House for sixty years, and only moved out when Mr. Bushong took charge of the house about a year ago. His funeral took place last Sunday. Diehl and Seth Lemaster, of Lemaster, have con tracted with the SehutT Electric company of Chambersburg, to in stall the plant which will furnish the electricity to the town of Mer cersburg and the village of Le master. The plant will be loca ted at Bridgeport, one mile from Lemaster, and will be operated by water power. The Schaff company will put a force of thirty meu at work on the first of Au gust to string wires, plant polos aud locate machinery.
