Hap-' sin entered the residence of Polls' Seureman, of Dushore on last Fri day night, through a window on the j second floor, and stole twelve dollars 1 in in >ney and a watch. Mr. Seure man was aroused and when Hapsin earned that h > was likely to be caught he hastily made his escape. | Accidently he lost his Miner's I'nion Car<l, in his haste to leave the house, which was found by Mr. Seureman; this furnished the proper clue to his capture. Constable Frank McMahon gave him a lively chase from one of the hotels to the woods but succeeded in running him down. In his room was found twelve watches and a num ber of gold 1 iugs. lie later confessed that it was himself who recently broke into the postottice at Bernice, and also the railroad station at the same place last Thursday night, since being confined to jail he has bought a box of cigars and is evi dently enjoying life in America.
