Well, wc hare had a wedding in town, and every body was there and we have all had one little speech to make and we've made them, and we nre now ready to settle down to business again. I mean every body spoke their peace but me—l am going to write mine. The groom was Mr. Wallace Snell and the bride Misa Mary Whitely. The cer«*tnony was performed by D. T. Iluckell,Esq. The best man was J. E. Marßden,of Towanda, assisted by Chas. Schanabaeher and the brides maids Misses Blanche Fleming and Gertie Lancaster. The ushers were B. S. Lancaster and John Randall. The wedding m irch was played by Prof. F. W. Meylert. The ceremony took place in the M. E. church, on Sunday evening Feb. 4lh. After the ceremony a bridal reception was held at the Seek*y House. Among the invited guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Iluckell, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Rogers, Mrs. M. Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Warburton, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Ferrell, of East Forks. Elegant refreshments were served. A large number of handsome and useful presents were received. Among which were a silver fruit basket, the gift of Hon. E. M. Dun ham, a silrcr pickle caster by Chas. Tinklepaugh, both of LaPorte. Hon. W. €. Rogers an elegant parlor lamp, Prof. Black a Rochester lamp and Dr. Chaffee a silver cake basket, etc., etc. The bride presented the bridesmads and Prof. Mejlert, each with a gold spoon with a silver handle as a souvenir. The atfuir was one of the most pleasant and enjoyable that has ever taken place in Forksville. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Snyder have returned homo after visiting friends in Lycoming county. Jake says he is going to settle down now and go to cutting wood. A party of young people of Hills- Grove, came up one evening last week and took supper at the Seeley House. Forksville talks very seriously ol putting iu water works this sum mer. Miss Clara Marsden of Towanda, is visiting friends in town. NAX. Forksville, Pa., Feb. 6, 1893. SnUNIi ITEMS. Mrs. Andrews and her intended, was in town Friday. Bert goes with the girl that lets her hair rest on ear. Warney's dog carries the pocket book now-a-days. I wonder what makes Bill's dog bark so every night J The matched span of black's have got their beat learnt. The last dance out to Caseman's was a complete nutQt. Hank think's he will give up the license and take the P. O. Tell A. B. that the chap that pomps the organ, is'nt the one that brings the music out.
