I.— A Beaver special says the defendants in the Qua3 T libel suit were sentenced to day to six months' imprisonment, a fine of S6OO and the costs of prosecu tion. After sentence had been passed Mellen and Porter were taken to the countv jail to serve their term It is said that after a short incarcera tion an application will be made to the Hoard ot Pardons for their re lease. Dr. Randall has been qnite sick the past week, but is able to attend to his patients again the last day or two. The doctor is very successful.
