Osier. 1 Owing to the fact that the returns from (Jolley and Forksville, were not in up to 5:30 p. m.on Wedues dny we are obliged togo to press without them, will give the same next week. As will be noticed Elkland elected her straight Republican ticket. The majority ranged from 30 to 50. Streby what have you to say about the result. We are told that the conduct of the Gazette piled on about ten of the majority. Good for old Elkland. Will say more on the subject next week. M UNCY VALLEY ITEMS. John Fague Esq., is running the store lately occupied by Col. E Webb. C. S. Taylor is recovering from a sovere attack of the la grippe. Wei liver and Bros, are kept busy repairing the broken wagons. J. P. Miller reports that they are getting in a larger part of their bark. Our worthy young Dr. Derr .is kept busy both day and night. Ellis Swank is busy running his birch stiil. Col. Edward Webb went to Washington D. C., to see about his pension. G. W. Biggers of Eagles Mere is sending down lots of lumber from his mill. Mr. John Delany loves to see the hemlock splinters come into the lumber yard. It is reported on our streess that several young people of our town expect t© take a trip soon. Bojs mind, don't get lost. We are glad to hear that Mr. Alttrd Taylor is recovering from a severe attact of la grippe. M. D. Stevens paid our town a short business visit this week. John is glad that the bullet went in the wall instead of his head. Hughes Phillips took a mud bath the other day. lIGUDY.
