Western Hoads Have Been Hard Hit and Trains Are Late. Train No. 8 on the Lehigh was over two hours late this morning, and therefore did not leave the local sta- tion until just before noon. There has been a heavy storm west which has greatly interferred with the running of trains on western roads. At supper time last night six well dressed young men, five of whom re- side out of town, went Into a well known Sayre restaurant apd took Seals at a table, and ordered lunches One of the young men had evidently been indulging ir. the cup that cheers and as he did not get waited upon 4% soon as he thought he ought he began to indulge in language which is not permitted in good society. At least the proprietor of the restaurant does not allow language of that char acter to be used In his place and he informed the young man that he could Cease or gel out. The young fellow pesisted, however, in handing out large sized chunks of profanity, and as the restaurant was filled with peo- ple, the proprietor decided that it was time to call a halt Acordingly he walked to the table where the dis- turber was seated, grabbed him by the collar and dragged him to the door At this point he threw him into the street. The young fellow landed into the arms of Officer Julius Vogel. Then there was another mixup. The young fellow attempted to get away from the officer and In so doing he let fly with his fists. As a matter of self- protection the officer drew his club and with a few gentle taps on the head persuaded the young fellow that he was down and out. As the restaur- ant keeper refused to make a com- plaint the young fellow was released with the Injunction not to create ans more disturbance under pegalty of ar- rest Ruth Doalin. Ruth. the twenty-one months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Don lin of No 331 Chemung street. died yesterday afternoon at the family home after a nine days’ illness of penumon- la. Besides the parents the deceased I survived by one sister, Gene Don- lin. The parents of the dead child are grief stricken. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning and the interment will take place at Waverly KR. E. Whiting. R. E. Whitney, aged 65 years, died this forenoon at the home of his son, C.
