Waveriy—There is one young fellow in Waverly who last evening learned in a very impressive manner that it is not always safe to indulge in slurs and insults at the expense of a young lady who chances to be wihout the protection of a male escort Last night after the performance at the Loomis by the "Weary Willie Walker company, three of the girls, who are members of the company, went into Neaves' lunch room and ordered a lunch Shortly after their arrival three or four young fellows entered and also ordered lunches.
