Brundage, owner of the Brundage House on Thomas avenue, which was recent- ly badly damaged by fire, presented to the Sayre fire department a crisp twenty dollar bill, in appreciation of the excellent services rendered by the various companies at the time of the comflagration. The local firemen did yoeman service at the fire and were no doubt respon sible for the building not being entirely consumed. Mr. Brun. dage was quick to notice the efforts of the firemen, and he is willing to testify to the merits of the fires fighters twenty dollars’ worth, a fact which in turn will be greatly appreciated by the firemen, Mr. Brundage also wishes at this time to extend his sincere thanks to the department for their services, ~ The hotel will be rebuilt and re- modeled as soon as the loss has been adjusted by the insurance company which issued the policy. At the present time it is cccupied by Mr. Donlin, the’ proprietor, but it is not in condition to accommo- date guests.
