After the routine business Mr.

Button had presented satisfactory
papers showing that the title would

would be paid over and the deed
secured in a day or two.
Councilman Stevens mentioned
that the residents of Ana street
were making complaints about the
water standing in the streets. No
action was taken
Councilman Tripp mentioned
the necessity for crosswalks across
Second and Third streets, and the
street commissioner was authorized
to notify the property holders to

The Spruce street conditions

Spruce street. The matter was
referred to the street committee
and borough engineer.
Chief Engineer Spaulding of the
fire department appeared before the
council and stated that there
should be more efficicat fire
alarm established, as in the present
case the firemen in the third and
fourth wards can be reached only
with great difficulty. It was sug-
gested that arrangement
might be made whereby the alarm
would be sounded by the watch-
men at the bridge works and furni-
ture factory. The matter was re-
ferred to the fire and safety com-
mittee.
