Horton came to Sayre yesterday morning, it is said, for the purpose of going to the hospital for medical treatment, he having been operated upon at that institution some time ago. Instead of going to the hospital, however, it 1s alleged that he became intoxi~ cated. Between three o'clock he was in the Wilbur house where Josh White, the colored porter and an assistant were engaged in hanging a screen on the door which opens from the barroom to Packer avenue. is alleged to have passed through the door, and as he did so he made an offzasive remark to White, re- and four barroom the latter's color.
