Ghesione had been employed by the company for some time on the stone ballast, but recently had received a letter from a friend in New York city and that he could secure a better job. Saturday he came to Sayre to get his pay, but learning here day, he concluded to return to the p ace where the gang in which he train which he boarded did not stop at that point, but Ghesione jumped off. He stumbled and fell beneath the wheels. His skull was crushed and a deep gash was cut in the top of the right shoulder Wten picked up by the tran crew the hospital at this place The remains were removed to J and will be held awaiting the ar nval of friends This morning several Italian friends of the dead took charge of the funeral arrangements A brother of the deceased resides man in New York aty and a telegram was sent to him. If he does not of the burial it is quite likely that among the foreigners for this pur- pose. FORMER SAYRE RESIDENT DEAD George Cannoll Died at Last Night George Canoll, formerly Sayre, died last evening at seven Charles N. Canoll, at 145 Chemung street, Waverly, Mr. Canoll had been sick for some time from pneumonia, but had so far recovered as to be out on the street, but he was again at- tacked by the disease, and suc- cumbed within a short time Deceasel was 70 years old, and resided on North Elmer avenue in Sayre up until about a year ago when he retired from his work as a machinist in the Lehigh shops and went to live with his son Waverly. Sayre for over 26 years, and had been an employee of the Lehigh for over 35 years. He was well known in this plice and served three terms as councils man from the second ward of this village. He is survived by two sons, Ed win and Charles, with whom he re- sided. The funeral will take place Wed- nesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the house. The Rev. H. W. Cry denwise will conduct the service, in Tioga Point cemetery, Athens. S. Hanford has the funeral charge.
