nell Undergraduate
nurse who has visited this place
the announcement of her marnage
on Wednesday evening, January 10,
to Omin R. Knowlton, a wealthy
Cornell undergraduate.
Miss Sullivan's marriage is the
culmination of a romance which
began with a coasting accident
which occurred in Ithaca about a
year ago. Mr. Knowlton and a
party of friends were coasting on
down the slope missed his bearings
and plunged the party into a curb
Several of the party were seriously
injured and among them Mr.
Medical examination
disclosed the fact that he was quite
seriously injured and instructions
were given to have him sent to the
nearest hospital. He was taken Jo
the hospital and the care that was
bestowed upon him by one of the
nurses in the institution was of
such a character that after he had
been restored to health Mr. Knowl-
ton decided that he could no
longer do without it. The nurse
whose ministrations were partly
responsible for his recovery was
Miss Sullivan. A courtship fol-
lowed and on Wednesday last cul-
minated in a wedding. The happy
couple are forever blessing Buffalo
hill, coasting sleds, erratic steers-
men, and all other agencies that
contributed in any way to bringing
them together.
Miss Sullivan is an orphan, and
on account of the many visits she
has made to Sayre, has a host of
triends in this place, all of whom
will unite in wishing her happiness
and extending to her husband con-
gratulations upon his good fortune.
MAY BE MAUDE BAYES
The residents of Callicoon in
Wayne county are more or less
excited over the appearance of a
strange girl about 12 years old,
who, it is said, has been living in a
barn and has been acting as though
demented. There is a suspicion
that she may be Maude Haynes,
the young Susquehanna girl who
disappeared from her parents’ home
in that place nearly three weeks
ago. Captain W. B. Glass of the
Erie police force, and the police of
Susquehanna have been notified.
RECEIVED INVITATION
The members of the Sayre Aerie

tions have also been received by
the Elmira, Ithaca and Waverly

tion is making preparations to give
the visitors a royal time. It is
quite likely that many from Sayre
will attend the entertainment.
