Rosengrant was next introduced and gave an eloquent talk on the “Elements of Character and Influence on the Young in the Formation Period.” Hon. 1.. T. Hoyt gave a good natured talk on modern history, Dr. E. M. Crawford responded to “The Ladies.” His remarks were brief, modest and interesting con. Hon. A. C. Fanning was down for “The Volunteer Firemen,” but was unable to attend Rev. W. GG. Simpson was called upon and responded with touching accounts of the heroism of the volunteer fireman.
