The Fifth Annual Encampment of the Posts of the Grand Army of the Republic of Bradford and adjoining bounties and the re union of the soldii rs and sailors will be held in East. Towanda, on the Fair Ground on the 11th. 12th and 13th of October, 1881. 2. All Posts, Military Companies, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines are invited to be present and participate in the encampment. 5. A general invitation is also extended to citizens who have an interest in the re-union and as visitors. Their presence heretofore has been a pleasant and agreeable feature of our encampment and we again offer them a sol dier's greeting and bid them come. 4. Comrades to provide themselves with three days cooked rations, blankets, towels, and as far as possible with tents. 5. All the Posts, Companies, etc., are re quested to reoort at headquarters by 1 o'clock p. m., Oct. 11 th. and will make out duplicate rolls of their commands, one of which they will hand to the Adjutant of the en campment on reporting, and the other to he retained as the muster roll of the com mand. The exercises will consist of drils, guard mounting, daess parade, sham battles, court martinis, songs speeches and camp sports. 8. Distinguished speakers will be present and deliver addresses. 9. The sum of $lO will be distributed as prizes to the three Posts showing the greatest protieieucy In drills according Upton's revis ed tactics; $5 as first prize, $3 as second prize, and $2 as a third prize. All Posts com peting for above prizes must have in the rank at least one half the number reported on the roll of the command. 10. It is with prtde that we refer to the gentlemanly conduct of the different com mands in former enc mpments. Let no act. of unseemly conduct mar the propriety of this, and we shall show ourselves wortliv the name of Comrade. Commanders of Posts and companies will be held reponsible for the conduct of the men under their charge and are especially urged to prohibit itoxiea tion so far as possible. 11. We extend a cordial invitation to the public generally, the ladies, and all who feel an interest in such a re-union, and we hope and trust that lhis annual gathering may fos ter a spirit of fraternal good will and patriot ic inipubes that will be cherished in all our active life. 12.
