Mr. E. went up and spent Sunday with them. Judge JESSur of Montrose is in town. He is one of the counsel in the suit of Thorn vs. Towanda Tanning Co., now on trial before arbitrators at the Court House. C. M. PIMTT left for Philadelphia vester, day, where he goes to complete his medical studies. He goes by wav of Delawaae Water Gap and will drive Dr. Ross' horse as far as Scaanton. Er>. Er>. is an accomplished clerk and popular sa'es man and wc congratulate his new employers on securing his services. Mr. and Mrs. HIRAM SWEET of Monroe ton have returned from an extended western trip. They were absent about six weeks, and visited Mrs. S.'s brother. The firemen's parade to-morrow is to con clude with a dance in Mercur Ilall in the evening. We mentioned the fact the other morning that " Ripton " a horse lately owned in this place and who has many admirers among horsemen here, had been entered for a trot in a 2:28 clrss, for a SISOO purse. It affords us pleasure to note that the race was trotted in 2:26 and that •' Ripton'' took the second money. Below is the programme of the Firemen's parade which takes place to-morrow: The several companies will form promptly at 1:30 p, M. The line of march will be. Up Main street to Locnst; Locust to York avenue; York avenue to Lombard; Lombard to Sec ond; Second to Grant; Grant to Main; up Main to place of starting. After counter marching and review of the Dopartment bv the Town Council, the lloso Race will take place. People along the line of march who desire to show their respect for the " tire laddies," will have time to prepare suitable decora tions.
