CRYSTAL WEDDING.— On Saturday, Oct.
Ist, 1881, occurred one of the most pleasant
gatherings which it has ever been our lot to
attend. The occasion was the fifteenth anni
versary of the wedding of our much esteemed
friends, Dr. A Judson and wife of Litchfield.
111 response to a little missive received a few
days previous, we wended our way to the
Doctor's. The day was beautiful, and we
found the host and hostess in their usual
happy mood, surrounded by friends and
neighbors from Syracuse, Waverly, Towan
da, Sheshequin and Litchfield. The Doctor
has just completed a new bouse and is very
comfortably fixed indeed. The company en
joyed themselves so hugely that the afternoon
passed all too soon. A bountiful and elegant
repast was served, which by the way was 110
surprise as it is always so when Mrs. .T. has
anything to do with it. The Rev. brother
Wright, of Horn Tlrook, being present, the
Doctor and wife were re-united in marriage,
tlie ceremony being in rhyme and very amus
ing as well as instructive. Night coming on,
t lie guests reluctantly separated for their
several homes, having left substantial tokens
of their regard for their entertainers and
wishing them long life and continued pros
perity. A GUEST.
