We learn that destructive tires are raging in the woods of Rome township. Several farm buildings are reported burned. We direct especial attention to the new ad vertisement of our popular tailor, Mr. F. I'. GRADY in to-day's paper. His large experience and excellent taste have won for him a large patronage. To what extent can the Science of Agri culture be taught in our Schools. 2. It is an Ironing Board so constructed that while it is durable it is readily folded up and put out of the way when not in use. The fifth annual entrapment of the Grand Army of the Republic of Bradford county and vicinity, and soldiers and sailors, will be held on thtf fair grounds, in East Towanda. on the 11th, 12th and 13th days of October, 1881. It is earnestly requested that the dif ferent Posts, and the soldiers and sailors, will lend their aid in making this encampment a grand success. An old citizen of Ithaca was afflicted with a pain in his side. He could find nothing to relieve him. He wns induced to use the Embrocating Emulsion and writes : F. J.
