Rev. L. F. PORTER, Rev. M. LEE HEWITT, Rev. L. (.'. IIAYFORD and Rav. Dr. TAYLOR are ex pected to be present and take pari in the ser vices. The Ideal is the name of- a new illustrated daily to be issued in Philadelphia, by ARMS & BAYARD. The first number will be print ed next Saturday and will contain a likeness of Senator DAVIKS, with a short biogi aphid-1 sketch. Col. ARMS is an experienced news paper man. and a gentleman of marked abili ty as a writer and speaker. He was in this county during the la>t Presidential campaign, and also delivered a lecture on ''boys'' in whe Presbyterian church last winter. A PORTRAIT OF DR. Hoi.LAND*-Thcre is haidly a literary man in America whose writings have been more widely read than those of Dr. J. G. Holland, nor one whose name is butter known among the people. It is said that nearly 600,( 0 copies of his books have been sold, to say nothing of the enorm ous sale each month of ScribneCs Monthly, over wnicli he presides as Edltor-in-chicf. The Century Co., publishers of ScribneTs (to be known as The " Century Magazine " after October,) will soon issue a portrait of Dr. Holland, which is said to be a remarka bly tine likeness; it is the photograph of a life-size crayon-drawing of the head and shoulders, recently made by Wyatt Eaton, and will be about the size of the original picture.
