Sweet is suffer ing from severe hemorrhage of the lungs. His situation is quite critical. He is being treated by Dr. Hull. Rev Van Kirk is a little out of health, by the excessive heat of the past week. He takes a respite from pulpit labors. Mrs. Anna Curry (colored) yvife of Geo. Curry, our barber, lias returned from a re cent visit to her friends, bringing a fresh girl baby vv it li her. George says that it looks for all the world just like its grandpa Alden. Wm. A. Park, Fsq., has been under the doctors care for ten days past. Mrs. Smitlijwith her children, is visiting her brother-in-law. In 1828 and '29 L attended lecturers in the Medical Department of Ratgir's College, in the city of New York. 1 have practiced physic and surgery continu ously evi r since 1829 without any change of location, settling at Terrytown, within a stone's throw of the old log house in which I was born a 2 o'clock a. in. of the 2nd of Jan uary A. D. 180(1. In 1834 and'3s I occasionally attended lec tures in Jefferson Medical College in tlie city of Philadelphia. In 1806 Geneva Medical College, unsolicited, conferred upon me the honorary degree of M.
