An opportu nity is now afforded any of our readers to see the great wonhcr for less than five dol lars. Owing to repairs being made on the trestle at this place, passengers on the S. L. & S. It. I!., for Bcrnice have for several days been obliged to take an overland trip through town, in order to take the train at either end of the bridge. The trestle is now complete, and the tram is running as usual. The street at the crossing of the trestle is much wider than before.— Dushore Review. Excurs'onists to Niagara Falls ou Tuesday next need have no fears of extortionate charges when arriving there. The managers have arranged every detail, as will be noticed. Admission to all places has been secured at remarkably low rates. And arrangements liaye been made with the Spencer House, one of the best hotels, for meals at 50 cents, half the usual rate. Knapp, of Waverly, with wife and child are visiting friends here. The Candidate is abroad shaking hands with his friends. * The Exsteusive Rosery and Nursery House of R. G. Chase & Co., of Geneva. N. Y.. is represented in Towanda and vicinity by Mr. J. T. MOORE, of Ithaca. This is one of the oldest and most reliable Nursery Concerns in the State of New York. Their large and increas ing trade is due solely to their honorable method of doing business. Many of our best citizens will cheerfully testify to the very satisfactory manner of their dealings with them in the past, always receiving their or ders in the best condition and True to name. Parties giving Mr MOORE their orders can do so with the utmost confidence. We bespeak for him a large patronage. You may never have another opportunity to visit Niagara Falls for the trifling sum now asked for a ticket to take you there and hack on Tuesday next. The train will remain at the falls 8 hours, which gives ample time to visit all places of interest and see all that is to he seen. The Falls will be splendidly illuminated by Electric Light before the time for returning. Tickets to all places of interest may be pro cured of the Managers on the train at greatly reduced rates. Baggage car attached to the train for the accommodation of lunch baskets, Jfcc. Parties visiting Prospect Park have full view of Falls during the day, and evening by the electric light, and includes use of pavilion, lunch room, hot and cold water, at an expense of only 35 cents. Tickets admitting to above and to Goat Island, Luna Island, Three Sis t TS, Biddle Stairs, Inclined Railway —good for one trip down : nd lip—Art Gallery, also for one passage over Suspension Bridge and return, for the low price of $125. SHAW ot this borough, who has a col lection of " ball tickets," has shown us some of them. One is an invitation to a ball in this | place, which reads: " Washington Ball. At the Bradford Hotel, Friday evening February 22, 1850. Bill sl. 'Music by Quarteete band." 1 The Bradford hotel stood on the ground now 1 occupied by the lieporter and Council build j ings. It was destroyed by fire in the fall of 1853, the night before the opening of the first agricultural fair. Another one is for an " Independence Bali," to be given in " Exchange Hall, East !
