We lind the following obituary notice of a former resident of this county, in the la>t Blossburg J! egistep. Mrs. A. P. \ ANFLKKT. of this place is a daughter of the deceased, and there are many others in Bradford who will be pained by the announcement: David Ingham, the subject of thisbrief me moir, was boru in lludderslield, Yorkshire, England, .January I, 1800, and died ai the res idence of his son*. A. 31. Ingham, in Bloss burg. June 21.1881. 31 r. Ingham came to America w hen 2."> years of age; lie remained in Few *1 ork two years and then came to 31enroeton, Brail ford coun ty, commencing a woolen factory, and prose cuted that line of business about 20 years, af ter jvhich he purchased a farm in LeKoy, continuing his agricultural pursuits 2o years. The wife of his youth, the companion of his early toil, died about 31 years ago, leaving him with the double responsibility of a fami ly of children. Mr. Ingham was a pioneer indeed, a man of great endurance and earnest toil, lie was a kind and indulgent parent, a neighbor greatly beloved and a good citizen. The writer of this brief sketch had the great pleasure of his society during the last days of his eventful life. Asking him how lie hit about the future, he replied," It is all well: 1 am just waiting to put oil' this tabernacle." — One of the last inteiigible words the writer heard him articulate was "Salvation! Salva tion? Salvation!" His expiring moments were the most beautiful illustration and ex emplification of the last, hours of a believer, We have witnessed in a long time. "So, fades a summer cloud away, So, fades the gale, when storms are o'er So, sweetly shuts the eye of day, So, dies a wave along the shore; A holy quiet reigns around, A peace which life nor death destroys, And nought disturbs the peace profound Which his unfettered soul enjoys. According to his wish, long sgo expressed, his mortal remins were borne by the loving hands of his kind children to the East Canton cemeterv to rest by the side of the mother of his children, until the brightness and beauty of the first resurrection shall penetrate the darkness of the grave, and the voice of the .Son of God shall be heard all over the universe, saying: "Arise ye dead, come ve blessed of my Father, sit down with me 011 my throne." At a regular meeting of Granville Centre Grange No 300, P. of H„ the following pre amble ami resolutions were adopted. WAEUKAS, In the dispensation of God's providence, our much esteemed brother Frank Bunyan has been removed from among us, and that while our charter is still draped in t iie emblem of mourning, we are admonish ed that in the midst of life we are in death. Tie refore. li'esolccd, That in the death of Brother Bunyan. the grange lias lost a faithful mem ber; the wife and family a kind and atl'eet oil ate husband and father, the parents a devot ed son; the brothers and sisters a devoted brother; and the neighbors a kind and oblig ing neighbor. Itesolocd. That while we submit to the will of our Heavenly Father, we will cherish the memory of our departed brother, and spinpathize with all who like ourselves feel the loss of him, with the consolation tiiat our loss is bis eternal gain. Jiesoloeil, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to on rcouuty papers, requesting them to publish the same; also to the .Fanner's Friend , and that a copy lie presented to the feniily; also entered upon the minutes, ami that our charter be draped in mourning for 90 days.
