"For every idle word that man shall speak." For every low-breathed curse his lips shall mutter, I've always read that man shall give account At the last day, to his confusion utter. Scoffers have sneered, "What! every word recorded, Nothing illegible on page of gold?" Earth has its phonograph—is Ileavcn without it? Scoffer, beware! —the phonograph is old. We are in receipt of the May number of Ten Cent Library," published by R. A. Saalfield, 839 Broadway, New York, the first number of which a few weeks ago we took great pleasure in commending to all lovers of music and presaged an immense success to the enterprising publishers. With the present number, just received, they have anticipated the wishes of the people and have included a Lancers on Olivette, which has had a long run in London and is all the rage in New York; together with a beautiful set of Waltzes, the "Amatori," a charming song of Danks, "When first 1 saw my Darling's Face," and another piece. The April number contains a complete Pot pourri on Billee Taylor, whilst each and every one of the series is a marvel of cheapness, and it is certainly astonisuing that 10 pages of the most popular music of the day can be sold for ten cents. Catalogues mailed on receipt of a three cent stamp by the publisher. SOLDIERS' SONS.—AII soldiers' sons over the age of eight years are requested to meet at the Armory of Co. A., on Saturday, May 21st, at 4 o'clock, P. M., for the purpose of making a preliminary organization to partici pate in the decoration day ceremonies as a body of sons of soldiers of the late rebellion. Parents are requested to come with their sons, if possible. All aae requested to be in formed as to company and regiment in which the father served. It is hoped that the sold iers will see that their sons may be taught the proper observance of decorating now in order, that they will understand its meaning when they, as sons of soldiers, will be ex pected to take on i places in the observance of these memorial services.
