PEET at her residence, Wednesday evening, May 11. Long before the exercises began the parlors were filled with the admirers of good music; all showed bv their eagerness for the exercises to begin that something worth hearing was expected, The program was as follows: PART FIRST. Georgia March. —Duct Mortimer Misses Birdie Scott, Pauline Jacobs. (lassie*.—Waltz Spencer Miss Paulino Jacobs. Duct Freddie Quinlan and Teacher. Kathleen M avournecn, Variations Richards Miss Lena Hawes. Rctour Du Printemps.—Duet Moelling Misses Belle Calkins and Millie Ruhm. La Chatelinc.—Waltz Leduc Miss Mattie Black. Cascade of Roses Miss Belle Calkins. Tramway Galop.—Duet Gabbearts Misses Freddie Fox and Charlotte Hawes. Bonnie Doon, Variations Pape M iss Lillie Stewart. Golden Years arc Passing By.—Song Mr. George Buck. Annie Laurie Miss Anna Thomas. PART SECOND. Parlor Operetta, "Diamond Cut Diamond," in one act. Miss BIRDIE SCOTT, Miss PAULINE JACOBS and Miss FREDDIE QUINLAN, though begin ners, showed a great deal of careful training in the nice rendering of their pieces. Miss LENA HAWES pleased the audience by skill fully playing Kathleen Mavourneen. The duet by Miss BELLE CALKINS and Miss MIL LIE RAHM was finely rendered; all were de lighted with the ease and grace which char acterized their playing. Miss MATTIE BLACK who always plays nicely, on this occasion did better than ever. Miss FREDDIE FOX was not able to play on account of sickness, and thereby one of the finest parts of the program was omitted. Bonnie Doon was played by Miss LILLIE STEWART with line effect; she has a rare talent for music, her touch is ele gant and she plays with the spirit of a true musician. The singing by Mr. GEO. BUCK was unusually good; he has a soft clear voice and always delights his hearers. Annie Laurie was rendered with a great deal of ex pression by Miss ANNIE THOMAS; her un assuming manners, graceful movement and correct playing won for her the admiration of the audience. The operetta, Diamond cut Diamond, by Mr. MACE and Miss SEELKY was very amusing; both played their parts well. The applause they received showed how much their effort was appreciated. The entertainment as a whole was a complete suc cess. The earnest and faithful efforts of Mrs. PEET were duly appreciated. Her superiori • ty as a music teacher was clearly shown in each ones playing. We hope to attend many more of Mrs. PEET'S musicals. W. For sale cheap on easy terms.
