The Waverly Review goes into extacics over the prospective re-opening of the Tioga Hotel—an establishment that cost Waverly a large sum of money, but which proyed to be something of a white elephant. The house has been closed for several years, and was re cently bought by JOHN O. WARD of this place. The Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Indianapolis railroad reports that its gross earnings last year show an increase of $981,000 over 1879, and expenses in creased $300,000. The retiring directors were re-elected, Misses Maggie Van Bushkirk and Anna Hopper, two leading young ladies of Spring Valley N. Y., were found appar ently dead Monday morning, from coal gas. Both were restored to conscious ness, and are considered out of danger.
