Quite an interesting case from Smithfield was argued before Judge McCOLLOM last week. At the last township election there were three school directors to be chosen, two for a full term and one to fill a vacancy. Five candidates were voted for, and the election board gave certificates to the three receiving the highest number of votos, designating CY RENIUS FORREST for the short term, he hav ing received-the smallest vote of the three, but more than either of the other two candi dates; Some seventy-five votes were cast for 44 C.
