RODGKRS, has made a contract with BOSTLEY & Co. to furnish them with two hundred nail kegs daily. AIONROE AYEKS has moved his store to his lot some distance this side of the Grange Hall, and added another story. The second story will be fitted up for the Good Templars. - - Mrs. MICHAEX BLAKE died at her home, near the upper depot, yesterday morning. Tim remains will be interred on Sunday in the Catholic cemetery. An independent school district has been organized at Carbon Run. out of portions of Barclay and Lcßoy townships. The new district lias two school buildings. o There is universal complaint at the almost impassable condition of Main street, and yet the borough authorities pay no attention it. The mud could be easily removed now. The Mercury comes to us in an enlarged form. The people of the Third Ward are very so- j cial, and almost every week give some family a " surprise party." The last gathering of : this character occurred at Capt. G. V.
