O '`From a letter received just as we were going to press', we learn the following 'in re gard to the logs in Capt. Jones' Company, in the battle of the 17th. There were but four teen, and the Capt., in the engagement.— Adolphus Nelson, killed ; Nelson Cobb, right arm shot off, and left severely wounded; W. F. Stone, slight wound in the neck; Leman Wilber, bit intlie back with a spent piece of shell, not aeribut. Daniel Fulmer id also re ported wounded. SUPPLIEBt—A large and en thusiastic War Meeting was held in the A.cad erny at Ulysses, last evening, and among other items of hilliness done, a committee of five was appointed to arrange for sending hos pital stores, or other comforts and luxuries to soldiers in the army. It is proposed to have a deposit made of such things as persona de.. sire to send, at one or two convenient points, (perhaps with W. W. Gridlei — at Lewisville end L.. Bird at Brookland,) and as fast 'as a package of suitable size is ready, it will be forwarded by Express.
