Boston, March 14th, 1836. Mr. Thompson Kidder. Jnother Letter. [From a gentleman of the first respectabili ty, to whom referenee can be made.] Mr. Kidder, Dear Sir:—Having been affected for several years past with weak lungs and a troublesome cough, which had become very alarming, I was induced to try the efficacy of your Belle's Asthmatic Pills, from which I have derived so much benefit that I have recommended them to a number of my friends as a cure for coughs, colds, &c. and have heard of no instance in which the pa- tient has not been benefittsd. A gentleman states an extraordinary case, that of his wile, who was rcduced so low by a pulmonary complaint, that symp toms of approaching dissolution began to exhibit themselves, so that her Physician intimated that nothing further could be done for her—that her case was past hu man skill, and the Doctor observed shortly after, while at a neighbors, that Mrs. %V. was about to leave us. 'l'ho same evening a relation recommended a trial of these (Relfe's Asthmatic) Pills, they were accord. ingly administered, producing such relief, and effecting so favorable a change during the night, that in the morning strong hopes were alibi ded ofat least a partial restored= of her health, which was effected, and made comparatively comfortable by a continued sue of these Pills. Timely A person recently from neglecting a slight cold, became so seriously affected with a severe cough, which notwithstanding every attempt to remove, became so bad as to oblige him to suspend attending to business, and filially to exhibit such alarm ing symptoms as to excite serious fears for the result--in these circumstances he was advised to make use of these Pills, which he did, and with such complete success, as to be able to resume his business in a few days, entirely cured I Much more testimony might be produced to prove this one of the best medicines ever discovered foi 4 all stages of Consumption, Codghs, Colds, Asthma, Hoarseness, Wheesing, Difficulty of breathing, Tight ness of the Chest,Paio in the Side, Spitting of Blood, &c. &c. Mr. ATHINSON—Dear Sir: A few weeks ago I noticed in your paper, an account of the surpri sing effects of Jayne's Carminative, in restoring a great number of passengers on board a Missis sipt.i steamboat, to perfect health who were nine led with Bowel Complaint. I was glad to see you notice it so kindly; you may rest assured it di-serves the praiso bestowed Upon it. 'l'ho ben efit I have received from this medicine, more es pecially his Expectorant, Induces me to state my case to you.for the benefit of those who are laic led in the same way. It has been my misfortune, sir, to labor under a cough and ustinnatical op omission, for more than tall a century. When a soldier in the American camp, in 1778,1, with many others, (owing to great exposure,) had a violent attack of disease . of the Lungs.by which I was disabled from duty for a long time. Since that period until recently, I have never been free from a violent Cough and difficulty of breathing. Year after year I have expectorated over a gill a day; often much more, and sometimes mixed with blood. For months together, night after night, I have had to sit or be bolstered up to ob. lain my breatiCiPhe weakness and debility cau sod by such constant expectoration, frequently brought mo to a state horderin on death. It has been a mattor of astonishment to my family and friends that lam here to write this to you. I have had skilful physicians to attend me, and every thing done that was thought likely to give mo relief, without any beneficial effect. Last winter 1 had another severe attack of Inflame lion of the Lungs, which I fully expected would he the lust. I then considered my case as past the aid of medicine, when I was persuaded to call on Doctor Jayne. With the assistance of Diving, Providence, through him,l was once more raised from my bed, but the coughing and wheezing wearied me day and night. He advised me to use his Expectorant. 1 did so, with a strong hope that, as it had cured many of my acquaintances of various diseases of the Lu .gs, it might at least mitigate my sufferings. Need I say how gratifi ed I felt? It has EFFECTUALLY CURED me. As soon as I commenced taking it, I found it reach ad my case, and I began to breathe with more freedom. My expectoration became more easy. and my cough entirely loft me. 1 now feel as well as eve: I did in my life, and am bettor than I have been for the last SIXTY YEARS. Last sum. iner I spit a great deal of blood; now, thank God, lam perfectly cured Now, Sir, after suffering so long, and finding at last such signal relief from Jayne's Expectorant, I feel anxious to inform my follow citizens where relief may be had. If you think this worthy a place in your paper you will oblige me by noiicing it. NICHOLAS HARRIS, SEN. N 0.35 Lombard Stieet. Dr. Jayno's Office is No. 20 South Third street Philadelphia.
