HULL'S RECENTLY IMPRO ED TRUSS.—The distinguished sur geons and medical faculty of the cities gen erally, and elsewhere, have come to the conclusion that this Truss, in its present improved state, is the only instrument sur gically adapted to the disease of Rupture, and the only one that patients can rely upon for the-•sate retention of the bowels and the final cure of the disease. In confirmation of which the following names of distinguished medical gentlemen of New York city, with many others, have expressed a decided preference for this in strument, are respectfully added: Valentine Mott, M. Also, the following extract ofa late certi ficate of Dr. Mott, of N. York: - "For the last twelve months, th• curative powers of Dr. Hull's Truss have been tested under my own observation with the most gratifying success in cases of great diflicul. ty, in which the mutilated imitation Tress-es so coma en in our market, had only aggra vated the disease. Dr. Hull is an experien ced surgeon, who has displayed not a little surgical skill and' mechanical ingenuity in bringing this unrivalled instrument to its present state of perfection, rendering it, I know, the best I ever saw for securing, corn forting and curing the ruptured patient, and is in my opinion, the only instrument of the kind that is entitled to patronage of the pro fession, and the confidence of the public. I A VALUABLE MEDICINE 112•Resommended by unquestionable and condu cive testimonials. THE Proprietor con fidmitly offers to the pub lic What experience has proved to be one of the most efficacious compounds in the Ilfeterio Medico, for the cure of that class of distressing, dangerous and inveterate Diseases produced by an impure state of the blood, acrimony of the hu mors and vitiated habit of body, and usually ex hibiting, themselves in the various forms of Scro- fula, Sall Rheum, Leprosy, St. Anthony's Fire, Fever Sores, White Swelling, Foul and obstinate Ulcers, Sore Legs and Eyes, Scald Head, and Venereal Mint, where Mercury has failed. DR. RELFE'S BOTANICAL DROPS have, in a multitude of cases, cured those invet erate and deep-rooted complaints in their worst and most hopeless stages. The Drops are also given with success for violent eruptions after the measles; red btotehes, festering eruptions Hind pim ples on the face; and in connection with Dr. JRIIII'S Liniment, they remove white swellings of the joints. The Scrofula, in its early shapes of niece tumours behind the ours and under the chin, and swelling of the upper lip and nose, will not only quickly yield to this preparation, but scrofulous ulcers, which have spread to such •n extent and depth, as to corrode the carlilcges and affect the bones with caries, have been gradnally and per eminently healed, by the persevering administra. tion of this powerful medicine; the sunken squall id countenance restored to its florid hue, the vita. energy re=established, and the whole system pu rified and invigorated. They are also the best Spring and Autumnal Physic. From many other proofs of the superior virtues of Dr. Relfe's Drops, the Proprietor selects the following INTERESTING CASES. rrik Lady, to whom reference Gan be made, was Ihr years afflicted with humours on her neck, accompanied with frequent itching eruptions, and running sores. She had tried various remedies and had taken the best medical advice, but could get no permanent relief, and her case daily be coming worse, fears wore entertained of a fatal termination of her complaint, when a friend pro videntially recommended the Botanical Drops, four bottles of which effected a complete cure, to the surprise and joy of herself and friends. ID-A Child of 8 yearn, had lost the use of his arms, one leg was almost crippled, hip dropped out of place, thigh and arms swollen and broke open in several places, and many of the sores had pone. trated down to the bone. On taking those Drops he recovered the use of his limbs, the sores healed up, and ho was restored to health, although thu't incurable. trTA young. Man, near Boston, was reduced no low by eruptions and sores in various parts of his body, especially his neck and hands; weakness ut the stomach, loss ofappetite, general debility, and gradual decline of the whole system, so as to threaten un approaching Consumption. Ho was entirely cured, and restored to a rine state of health, by five of six bottles of those Drops. CIZrA married Lady was for years afflicted with eruptions on the face, head, ears and various parts of the body, attended with violent itching, burn ing, &C. had tried many prescriptions without of- feet; was confined to her room, and declined all company. She was cured by taking four bottles of these Drops. ETA Lad belonging to Satigns, whose head was covered all over with sores and blotches, was whol. ly cured by a few bottles, after every other rome. dy had failed. 0:1 - A Child five years old, had her face covered with a scab, various eruptions about the body, and was blind of both eyes. She was cured by taking five bottles. A Correspondent writes thus: "I have had Ul cers on my legs so bad that I expected to lose the use of them, and could only walk on crutches; two pieces of bone came away from my right leg; when hearing of your Relfe'a Botanical Drops, aller try ing every thing else that I thought would allay my sufferings, on using three bottles, I found my. Reif nearly well; the ulcers began to heal up and cease running." A Gentleman writes, he had been sorely afflic ted for ten years with Biles all over his body, and having tried all kinds of remedies without suc cess, by the use of these Drops ho was perfectly cured. Another Gentleman writes: "I have been seri ously afflicted with the Salt Rheum on my head, &c. and resorted to the use of many medicines without affecting a cure, or doing arfy essential good, until I obtained some of your Botanical Drops, which, on using a 'short time, entirely cu red me. I therefore recommend it to every per. son afflicted with this complaint," 1.7""I was afflicted," writes a person, "for six years with intolerable burning', all over my body, a dreadful ulcer on on my left leg, and every oth. or day a return of headache. THOMAS MELZERD. Signed in the presence of JONATHAN Wunn and JOHN S. HARRISON. Mr. W. W. Pewits, Sir—l here give you a statement of my cure. About four years ago I became af: flitted with a complicated case of Scrofula and White Swelling; during that period I placed myself under the care of upwards of eighteen respectable physicians in Boston, Pittsburg, Albany, and this place, but their prescriptions were in vain. My arm became useless, the elbow joint being very much en• larged, and so covered with ulcers, that my physician, fearing a mortification would take place, advised me to submit to amputation, but this very fortunately I rejected. On my back there was an ulcer as large as the palm of my hand, which became so painful that despaired of ever being restored to health, or even getting relief. Having seen a simi lar case to my own, which was cured by your Catholicots, as the last resort I applied for it, and the happy result is, from its use for about three months, I am perfectly cured. -JOHN MEALY.- . WILMINGTON, (N. C.) May 22d. RHEUMATISM P. S. As it doubtless gives you pleasure to hear of the many cures which your medi cine is daily performing, I will mention two other cases wherein complete cures resulted from its use, and which induced me to try it. The first is a case of an intimate friend of mine, an old gentleman about sixty years of age, who had the Rheumatism for a num ber of years past, part of the time confined to his bed; he took it merely through expe riment, and was surprised to find himself entirely freed from his painful , disorder by using only one bottle. TETTER. The other case was a severe Tetter, which covered both the 'patient's hands; he was an elderly man, and had the affliction for a long time; he was totally deprived of the use of them, his attendants being obliged to cut his food and help him to it.
