'ting was held in the borough of Birming ham, N 1 arriors Mark township, in this county. It was composed of the farmers, furgemen, day laborers and mechanics, :the bone and sinew of our country, num bering about four hundred, all treemn, friends of Harrison and Tyler, and dem ocratic reform,—kmiwing their own in valuable tights and privileges, and who 1, ill, at the approaching' election, through the peaceful medium of the ballot boxes, make the dry bones of M. Van Buren and 'the small brggar of the Extra Globe, as well as the lesser tribe at the city of Wa shington, shiver. The meeting was organized by the se lection of the following officers: President, Samuel Dickson, of Tyrone township. Vice Presidents, John Buck, John Henderson,* Warriors Mark tp.; David Tussey, Sen. George Davis, E. W. Wike, of Morris tp.; James E. Stewart, Tyrone tp.; James Metlin,. John Gen• semer, Archibald Hutchison, Henry Gar• !sod,* Warriors Mark; Morris Hicks, of Tuckahoe. Those names marked thus* were for Van Buren at the last election. Secretaries, John K. McCahan, Wes ley P. Green, and Andrew P. Owens—all of whom were for Van Buren at the last Presidential election, and they now go for Harrison and Tyler. The meeting was held . in front of the dwelling of Mr. David Cree, the most public portion of the town, and none of the churches being large enough to hold the multitude, seats were prepared in the street, and the officers and speakers oc cupied Mr. Cree's porch. The houses of Mr. Nevelins, Mr. Clarke, Dr. Dewey, and Mr. Cree, in the immediate neigh borhood, were splendidly Wuminated in front. After the organization of the meeting, a number of young men sung the following original and patriotic song, which was re‘ ceised with great glee.
