The value of a well kept farm record can scarcely be ever estimated. It shcuM be clear, explicit, and comprehensive should contain the daily operation of the farm, cotes of weather and its vicitades; all interesting items about the animals of the farm, dairy, erchard; in short, everything worth remem bering about the operations of the farm, which must necessarily be bringing many thiegg together not properly connected but only to be remembered, the other the book for future reference, or ledger. The arrangement of . the dailv journal would be very simple the book to be filled regularly from the beginning, with the date perfixed to each day's record, so that it would be a continous record from one day to another through the year. The ledger should be large enough for the purpose of one year, or may be suffi ciently large for several years. It should contain, under seperate heads, so as to be easy of access, all tho substance of the jour nal, with some important additions. It may be arranged as follows: First an alphabetical index, containing the names of the sutdects treated of in th book, with the number of the page assigned to it standing opposite. Each subject in the ledger h to be treated ecperately, on a seperate page, and to con tain only what the farmer will need tor future reference. Much cf thia matter is ta be drawn from the journal, and may be trans ferred at .regular intervals each week, or tnOLth or at the most convenient time?" If Appcfo be the subjsct for first entry, it 9pl lc put on tic "A" leaf in the index and given the first page in' the book. If Wheat :s trie subject, the name is to be put on the "W" leaf in the index, and to occupy the second page; and so cf each subject to be treated. The ledger will coutain m-.cu that need cot be recorded in tho journal as the ac cent of each field kept by itself the kind of trcrp, when put in when harvested, with the yield, would be very useful for future refer ence, and to compare one vear with &nnth.r la this way, the yield cf the farm, or any In its appropriate place, at the end of the year, will be made the balance sheet, con taining the expenses, the losses, and the profit. This could bo made very readily from a well arranged book. In this way. a farmer will, in a f..w lave laid up a stora of experience that will i t always valuable, nu-t t specially if he ii a Kan of progress; fur if his cultivation at ont time is faulty, the record of it ia continually before him, and tLo admonition will not be Joet, Cor. of GcAisee Farmer. A List cf some of the ai licles comprised' irTtne assorti ie?it - THE RESTORATIVE of PROF. O. J. WOOD for restoring hair perfectly and permanently has never yet had a rival, volume after volume might be given from all parts of the world, and from the most intelligent, to prove that it is a perfect Restorative, but read the circular and you cannot doubt; read also the following : Cj The Hair. People have for centuries been afflicted with bald hoads, and the only remedy, heretofoic known, has been those abom inable wigs. By a recent discovery of Professor Word, thete articles are being fast disposed with but a great many persons still patronize them, because they Lave been so often imposed upon by Hair Tonics of different kinds. To all such persons, we earnestly make the request, that they will try once again, for in Wood's Restora tive there is no such thing as fail. We know of a lady who was bald, who used the article a short time, and her head is now covered com pleiel' with the tiniest and most beautiful curls imaginable. We know of numerous cases where hair was rapidly falling out, which it restored to greater perlectiou than it ever bad been befoie. It is also without doubt one of the best arti cles for keeping the hair in g.xd condition, ma king it soft and glossy, removing dandn.if, and has proved itself the greatest enemy to all the ills tnat hair is heir to. It is the duly cf every one to improve their personal appearance, th-.ugh some may diffr iu regard t tl.e ways of d;inh it: but every one will admit that a 1-e.uitiful head of hair.'eith-r in man cr w..llSn. i an object much to be desi red, ar.d ti.vs ai- r.. li,-ans that should !, left a c a.-iderau'ou.
