1 jSjjfxial fc&trfistmtnts. Scroftila, or King's Evil, b a constitutional disease, a corruption of tho blood, bv which this liuid becomes vitiated, -w eak, and poor. Being in the circulation, it rwrradea the whole body, and may burst out In disease on any part of it. No orgau is free from it attacks nor is there one which it may not destroy. The serofulous taint Li variously caused by merourial disease, low living, dis ordered or unhealthy food, impure air, tilth end filthy habits, the depressing vices, and, above all", by the venereal infection. What ever ')C ita origin, it is hereditary in the con titu jon, descending " from parents to children wnt ,the third and fourth generation ;" indeed, It I ms to b the rod of Him who says, I wftl visit tho iniquities of the fathers upon their children." Ita effects commence by deposition from the blood of corrupt or ulcerous matter, which, in the lungs, liver, and internal organs, is termed tubercles ; in the glands, swellings ; and on the surface, eruptions or sores. This foul cor ruption, which genders in the blood, depresses the energies of life, so that scrofulous constitu tions not only suffer from scrofulous com plaints, but they have far less power to with stand the attacks of other diseases; conse quently, vast numbers perish by disorders which, although not scrofulous in their nature, are still rendered fatal by this taint in the system. Most of the consumption which de cimates the human family has its origin directly ia this scrofulous contamination ; and many destructive diseases of the liver, kidneys, brain, and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or are aggravated by the same cause. One quarter of all our people are scrofulous ; their persons ere invaded by this lurking in fection, and their health is undermined by it. To cleanse it from the system we must renovate the blood by mi alterative medicine, and in vigorate it by healthy food and exercise. Such a medicine we supply in AVER'S Coinponnil Extract of Sarsaparilla, the most effectual remedy which the medical skill of our times can devise for tliis every where prevailing and fatal malady. It is com bined from the most active remedials that have been discovered for the expurgation of this foul disorder from the blood, and the rescue of the system from its destructive consequences. Hence it should be employed for the cure of not only scrofula, but also those other affec tions which arise from it, such as Eruptivb and Skim Diseases, St. Anthony's Fire, Rose, or Jhtstpelas, Pimples, Pustules, Blotches, Blaixs and Bou.s, Tumobs, Tetter and Salt Hhsim, Scald Head, Ringworm, Rheumatism, Syphilitic and Mercurial Dis bases, DcorsT, Dyspepsia, Debility, and, Indeed, all Complaints arising from Vitia ted or Impuue Blood. The popular belief In 44 impurity of the blood" is founded in truth, for scrofula is a degeneration of the blood. The particular purpose and virtue of this Sarsapa rilla is to purify and regenerate this vital fluid, without whirh sound health is impossible iu contaminated constitutions. Ayer's Cathartic Pills, fOB ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIO, ar so composed that disease within the ranee of their action can rarely withstand or evade them Their penetrating properties search, and cleanse, and invigorate every portion of the human organ fcaot, correcting it diseased action, and restoring its healthy vitalities. As a consequence of thee properties, the invalid who U bowed down with pin or physical debility is astonished to find his health or energy restored by a remedy at once so simple and inviting. Jtct only do they cure the every-day complaints f every body, but also many' formidable and dangerous disease. The agent below named is pleased to furniih gratis my American Almanac, containing certificates of their cures and directions for their use in the following complaints : Ccstive ntl. Heartburn, Headache arising from disordered Stomach, Xataea, Indigestion, Pam in and Morbid inaction of the LoiceU, Flatulency, Loss cf Appe tite, Jaundice, and other kindred complaints, arising from a low ktate of tht body cr obstruction f its functions. Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, for the kapjd cure of Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Hoarseness, Croup, Bronchitis, Incipient Consump tion, and for the relief of Consumptive Patients ia advanced stages of the . disease So wide is the field cf its usefulness nntl so nu merous are the case of its cures, that almost very section of country abounds in persons pv.b lioly known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of the lungs by its ss. When once tried, its superiority over every ether medicine of its kind is too apparent to escape cbsArvation, and where its virtues are known, the public no longer hesitate what antidote to employ for the distressing and dangerous alTcctions of the pulmonary organs that are incident to our climate. vnu many inferior remedies thrust upon the eommunitv have failed and been discarded, this has Rained friends by every trial, conferred benefits the afflicted they can never forget, and pro duced cures too numerous and too remarkable to b forgotten. rHEPABED BY DK.
