SEALED proposals will be received atthisoflice, until Wednesday, September 20, for supplying this road, for one year, from the 1st of October next, with about 3600 bushels of coke per week. The coke must be made out of the best quality of Allegheny or Pittsburgh coal, and be free from ashes, dust, and small pieces of coke. Pieces of less of size than nut coal will not be taken. When manufactered, it must be soft, so that it will burn freely and with a blaze. The coke will be transported in cars. A bush el will be taken at 35 pounds, and the quantity in the cars will be ascertained by the State Scales in Columbia.
