The quotas for the sub-districts have not
yet been prepared, but it is hoped they soon
will be, as volunteering will no doubt cotn
mono° in earnest as soon as it is known how
many men each district will have to furnish.
In the meantime, it would be well for the
citizens to inaugurate some system of volun
teering, that they may be saved the necessi
ty of a draft.
